How to Make Incredible Iced Coffee

Cold brew coffee has change my life.  Well, at least my mornings and my pocketbook.

I have been cutting back a bit on the amount of sugar I consume, so my daily hot mocha is now a treat instead of a habit.

When I discovered cold brew coffee, I learned that I could make an iced coffee that makes me close my eyes and savor the first sip.

This recipe is so easy and so incredibly tasty.

  1. Start with a pint mason jar. Because it’s cute.  And iced coffee in a cute jar makes it taste better.
  2. Add just enough maple syrup to barely cover the bottom of the jar.

  3. Add desired amount of ice cubes. I like just a few.
  4. Sprinkle a very small dash of sea salt. Trust me.  Just do it.
  5. Pour in about 2 “ of cold brew coffee concentrate.
    Iced Coffee
  6. Fill the jar up with milk. Use any kind you like.  I love my raw milk.
  7. Screw on a lid and shake it well.
  8. Remove lid, close eyes, and slowly sip in those little iced-coffee bubbles. Bliss!

You can make an iced mocha by using chocolate syrup instead of maple syrup.  I love using my homemade chocolate syrup so I can avoid using all those nasty chemicals that are in store bought syrup.

With the low amount of sugar in my iced coffee, I might even indulge in more than one a day.  But that’s a secret.  Shhhhh…. don’t tell anyone.  Opps, I guess I just did!
