How to Be a Pressure Cooker Mashed Potatoes Ninja

My children think I’m a ninja; we take karate together and have tons of fun.

They don’t think I’m a typical ninja.  They think I’m more of an “older, out-of-shape, mom” kinda ninja.

Nevertheless, I have earned the ninja title from my children.

For potatoes.

I am…

The Pressure Cooker Mashed Potatoes Ninja

That is a title I am very proud of.  Not every mom gets to be a mashed potato ninja!  Maybe one day, you too, can earn the coveted designation.

You will not believe how easy this is to throw together.  No more water boiling all over the stove.  No potatoes that are too starchy due to overcooking.  Easy peasy mashed potatoes.

Let me get you started in that direction.

  1. Under the cooking directions, what does the ‘QR’ stand for? I just got a pressure cooker so I’m really NEW at this! Thanks so much for the wonderful recipes…I took your bread class, and my family loves YOU for it.

    1. Hi Connie! So glad you stopped by, it’s great to hear from you. QR means Quick Release. So, after you cook the potatoes for 5 minutes, release the steam. Be very careful not to burn yourself. I don’t know what kind of pressure cooker you have, but the steam release might be a valve on the top of the machine. Thank you for your kind words about the bread class. That makes me so happy! 🙂
